Wyatt is fighting every day to bring more opportunity to West Virginia. Our state’s #1 export is no longer coal; it’s our young people. With better access to sustainable employment opportunities, lower costs, and the chance to afford to raise our families, our state will thrive.

West Virginia is the #1 state of people per capita with pre-existing conditions, and the #1 state of people per capita who rely on some form of government assistance. The top employer IN the state IS the state government, and these folks have one of the most expensive healthcare plans in the country. Protecting access to affordable healthcare for our seniors and our most vulnerable populations is the least I can do as your state senator.

Our neighbors want to know what is going on in their legislature. Transparency about the decisions being made on your behalf, how your legislators are spending their time, and where your tax dollars are being spent should be an expectation of all our friends. Wyatt believes the government can’t spend your money better than you can!

The HOPE scholarship has been a great opportunity for some West Virginia families. But the fact remains that our tax dollars are going to out-of-state private schools, where our neighboring states are seeing a return on the investment we are making in our youth. This program needs a full overhaul to ensure our money stays right here at home, where it belongs.
